DR JOHN POWELL PRESENTED AT THE 19th ICSMGE IN SEOUL
Dr John Powell, Technical Director of Geolabs Limited, attended the 19th ICSMGE in Seoul last week where he presented the 8th James K Mitchell Honour lecture – In situ testing – Ensuring Quality in Equipment, Operation and Interpretation. The lecture was well received and generated much discussion outside of the plenary session. Hopefully future developments in quality of testing will follow.
The conference was well attended with over 2000+ delegates from all over the world and much discussion ensued on a wide range of topics.
Our Particle Size Indicators (PSI) cards were highly sought after, with the demand outweighing our supply!
John Powell met up with three of the previous Mitchell lecturers, Prof Peter Robertson, Prof Paul Mayne and Prof Mike Jamiolkowski, as seen in the attached picture.
