Particle Size Indicator (PSI)

Our PSI (Particle Size Indicator) was developed, last year, by Geolabs Limited, in partnership with Professor David Norbury, Professor in Engineering Geology at Sussex University.

The Particle Size Indicator makes it easier to assess the sizes of particles in a soil sample on site and in the laboratory. It allows a visual comparison of sands and silt, as well as providing as easy assessment of coarser granular materials. Learn more.

Since its introduction 12 months ago, the Indicators have proved to be extremely popular and invaluable to those working within the geotechnical fraternity, from drillers, engineers, environmentalists, technicians and academia. Over 1,600 have been requested and distributed throughout the World!

If you haven’t already received your FREE PSI, please email your request, with your full postal address, to our head office and we will dispatch your order.

We would love to see a photo of you using the PSI in situ so please feel free to also upload one directly to our Twitter page @GeolabsLimited #particlesize or on our LinkedIn page.

Please also send us any feedback, further recommendations or advice for improvements that you may have. We are currently producing a more rugged and robust Indicator in a more resilient material to improve its usage on sites and during inclement weather. We will post more details as soon as they become available.
