XVI European Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering

Geolabs is pleased to announce that their Technical Director, Dr John Powell will be presenting a paper at the XVI European Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, in Edinburgh from 13 – 17th September 2015.
The paper, co-written with Geolabs’ Technical Manager, Chris Wallace, and Hilary Shields of Ove Arup & Partners (formerly of BRE) is a detailed analysis of Liquid Limit testing, and the superiority of the cone method in comparison with the Casagrande method. The paper has been prepared in response to the forthcoming introduction of the BS EN ISO method for Liquid and Plastic Limits, currently being produced in Europe by CEN, and which is set to replace the method currently within BS 1377: Part 2: 1990.
