Christmas and New Year Operational Arrangements – 2022
With Christmas rapidly approaching, we are taking this opportunity to notify you of our operational arrangements over the Christmas and New Year period.
Courier Operations
We have 24 hour, 7 days per week, 365 days per year, manned security arrangements at Geolabs Limited in Watford so customers may therefore despatch samples to ourselves at any time and they will be allowed access to a secure storage facility at our premises by Security personnel. This includes the Christmas and the New Year period.
If you require Geolabs to collect or arrange organised courier services the last date for organising such collections is Thursday 22nd December 2022
This service will recommence on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.
Laboratory Operations
The laboratory will be operational up to and including Friday 23rd December 2022 and recommence normal operational procedures on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.
The Watford and Birmingham laboratories arrangements for the Christmas and New Year period are as follows:
| Friday 23rd December 2022 | Normal laboratory operations until 14:00pm |
| Saturday 24th / Sunday 25th December 2022 | Closed for any weekend working |
| Monday 26th / Tuesday 27th December 2022 | Closed for Bank Holiday |
| Wednesday 28th / Thursday 29th and Friday 30th December 2022 |
Whilst the laboratory is closed during this period, there will be staff performing maintenance work and progressing essential laboratory testing |
| Saturday 31st / Sunday 1st January 2023 | Closed for any weekend working |
| Monday 2nd January 2023 | Closed for Bank Holiday |
| Tuesday 3rd January 2023 | Normal courier and working operations resume |

Any emails will be monitored by staff on duty or remotely over the holiday period and a response will be relayed to you by any email or telephone if you leave your details at the appropriate time.
