5th International Conference on Geotechnical and Geophysical Site Characterisation (ISC5)
Geolabs Technical Director Dr John Powell will be heading to the Gold Coast in Australia next week where he will be attending the 5th International Conference on Geotechnical and Geophysical Site Characterisation (ISC5) from the 5th to 9th September.
The ISC5 conference theme is ‘In Pursuit of Best Practice’ and aims to bring together the world’s experts in site characterisation to share research, experience and technologies to improve quality and reduce difficulties often encountered on site.
The conference will comprise of a number of lectures, short courses and technical visits, and will cover all aspects of ground investigation from sampling, in situ and laboratory testing, geophysical testing, data quality and use in design to the assessment of case histories.
John will be involved in presenting a short course on CPT in geotechnical practice on the 5th, and will also be presenting a paper on small strain stiffness assessments from in situ tests, together with being involved in various discussion sessions throughout the conference.
