1 The test charges are effective from 1st April 2024 onwards.

2 Written instructions or an appropriate purchase order are required before commencement of testing.

3 The test charges are for samples delivered to our laboratory in Watford and do not include for costs incurred for obtaining or transporting test samples or provision of sample containers. Rates for collection are dependent upon the number of samples and geographical location. There is no collection charge for locations within a 50 miles radius of our laboratory, providing there is in excess of 20 samples to be tested in the consignment and the samples for collection are suitably packaged and wrapped before collection for possible collection by an independent courier service.

4 Prices are for the performance of the relevant test or test(s) per specimen or set of specimens as indicated and provision of the test results(s) in accordance with the relevant specification.

5 If the client decides to significantly change the test quantities and/or change the tests requested or wishes to make alternative arrangements for some of the testing without the approval of Geolabs Limited, then Geolabs Limited reserves the right to review any rates submitted for the whole of testing on the project.

Any requirements for meetings or visits in relation to the testing scheduled or proposed, may be chargeable at hourly rates plus any expenses incurred for those Geolabs Limited’s staff involved.

When test equipment has been allocated to perform testing as requested by the client and the testing is delayed or cannot be progressed because of lack of test instructions from the client, then Geolabs Limited reserve the right to charge a daily rate while the equipment is idle.

6 Please note that the rates contained within the quotation are for performing tests to the Standards and/or Specifications quoted. Any required deviations from the Standards and/or Specifications may incur additional time and equipment charges. Any charges will be notified before commencement of testing.

7 The rates shown include for the provision of one copy of test results in accordance with the relevant Standard or test procedure sent to one address. The rates DO NOT include provision for collation and tabulations of test results on summary sheets or in digital format (i.e. AGS format). There MAY be no charge for data in digital format, providing the request is made before commencement of testing. If no such request is received before commencement of testing but is received after testing is commenced or completed, then charges of £25.00 per hour for provision of such data will be made.

8 There is no provision for any photographic requirements in the rates quoted unless there are separate rates specifically for provision of photographs within the quotation.

9 Samples are customarily disposed of one month after the issue of the results or report unless otherwise instructed. In this case a charge may be made for storage. All recorded data from test results and analysis will be archived and stored for 6 years from the date of reporting.

10 Discounts may be negotiated for regular clients and for major orders.

11 Surcharges may be applied for samples of unusual composition or where special preparation and testing techniques are required. These will be confirmed prior to commencing work.

12 All quotations remains valid for three consecutive months after the date of quotation.

13 VAT at the standard rate will be added to any rates quoted.

14 Any test results supplied by Geolabs Limited will remain the property of Geolabs Limited until any invoice submitted by Geolabs Limited relating to the provision of the test results is paid in full.

15 Where discounted or lump sum rates have been quoted, payments for submitted invoices must be paid no later than 30 days after invoice date. Failure to pay within stipulated time period will result in any preferential rates being withdrawn.
