56^th Rankine Lecture 2016

Geolabs Limited will be sponsoring a table at the 56^th Rankine Lecture at Imperial College, London on 16^th March 2016. Our esteemed guests include Professor Marcos Arroyo, Maurizio Devincenzi, Professor David Norbury, Steve Branch and Emma Anderson.

The 56^th Rankine Lecture, delivered by Professor Richard Jardine on ‘Geotechnics and Energy’ will consider the urgent issue of ensuring vital energy supplies whilst understanding and addressing the consequences of fossil fuel usage upon the environment and climate. The lecture will also focus upon current research into renewables and their economics, and will emphasise the need for integration of geology with advanced field and laboratory testing to resolve geotechnical issues raised from their use.
